mr_x, did your troubles start after that re-install or prior to it?
If yes it might be a dodgy install.
If no then propably an LFS bug. Something to do with the Direct-X version maybe.
I confess! I did over exaggerated a bit on the re-install frequency.
Another cool vid.
Especially the crash that starts at 3:34 looks very real.
So if they only had left those parked cars out off the game I would have had only the wheels to worry about.
Nevertheless I'm happy LFS doesn't have so detailed visual damage. For a start my comp couldn't handle it. Secondly it would bring more wreckers to the game.
erm...
If you drive with a wheel why do you have another wheel on your screen?
Lose the wheel on the screen and you can see the gear indicator very well. This goes well with the realism angle too.
As to the point about the virtual steering gauge. I thought you were using mouse because you had the arms and wheel on screen and needed them to know which way you were steering. The virtual gauge would have represented the steering input well and you could lose the wheel and thus see the gear indicator.
But I have to admit that the gear indicator is in a pretty silly place.
@geeman
As they are making the new interiors now. NOW is the time to request stuff on them.
I did wonder why the front wheel went flying. Then I went and watched some crash videos of the game and have to say it looks like crap.
Rear wings seem to be invincible. Just as long the car has wheels it goes like nothing has happened.
The thing that bugs me most is that the cars break but the scenery doesn't. Especially one scene on some video where a rally car hit a stationary car that was parked beside the road. Rally car turned to scrap. Stationary one didn't even get a dent. In another some one hit a trailer that was parked beside the road. Again rally car blows to bits but trailer doesn't even budge.
Why make cars that turn to scrap when you crash them but litter the scenery with similar objects that don't.
Might add that the XRT was all alone. And fastest lap was 4 second slower than lap record. And a few tenths slower than the drivers PB. Still he got 38 points.
Since neither of them are on the list lets be logical about this.
Mercury is too hot to handle.
I don't like the atmosphere on Venus.
There are just too many green men on Mars.
Jupiter is going to collapse into a small sun in 2010.
As the 'rings are going to be full of people racing Saturn is out.
Uranus... har har
That just leaves Neptune. Could be worse.
You're right about Aston. It doesn't look like a club track.
I was referring to the stopping power, if you can call it that, of the sand in the case of accidents and going off not cutting. But it would make cutting less beneficial too.
BTW this is a discussion about the features of the tracks not whining. So get back here!
